Yes! Book Nova includes a complete loan management system:

You can export and import all your data.
What is exported:
- All your books
- Your badges
- Your loans
- Your borrows

- Go to Settings
- Tap "Export my data"
- A JSON file will be created

- Go to Settings
- Tap "Import my data"
- Select your file

- Replace : erases existing data
- Merge : adds without duplicates
Automatic backup
The app performs a weekly automatic backup on your device.
An internet connection is only required for:
- Scanning ISBN barcodes (automatic lookup)
- Manually searching for a book via ISBNdb
- Purchasing Premium
Everything else (library, stats, badges, loans) works offline in Book Nova. Tip: add a book manually while offline if you know its details (title, page count, etc.).
You can cancel your trial period directly from your store.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile picture in the top right
- Select Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Find BookNova in the list
- Tap Cancel subscription
- Follow the instructions to confirm
On iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Open your device's Settings app
- Tap your name at the top of the screen
- Select Subscriptions
- Find BookNova in the list
- Tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial
- Confirm the cancellation
Note: You will keep access to premium features until the end of your trial period.
Important: Cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before the end of the trial period to avoid being charged.
To cancel your active Premium subscription, follow the same steps as canceling the trial period:

Good to know: You will retain access to premium features until the end of the current billing period. No refund will be issued for the period already paid.
The Discover page offers personalized book recommendations based on your reading history and preferences.

An estimate
Book Nova calculates the thickness of each book based on its page count:
- Novels & standard books : 0.05 mm per page
- Manga : 0.08 mm per page
- Comics & Graphic Novels : 0.08 mm per page
These values have been calibrated using real measurements to be as accurate as possible.
Why might my measurement be different?
Every book is unique! The actual thickness depends on:
- Paper quality (bible, offset, coated...)
- Cover type (softcover or hardcover)
- Binding (glued, sewn...)
- Publisher and edition
Want perfect accuracy?
You can measure and correct the thickness of any book:
- Open the book in your library
- Tap "Edit"
- Adjust the thickness manually
Your stack will then reflect your exact measurements! 📚
Your data belongs to you
Book Nova doesn't require an account — all your personal data (books, preferences, badges) is stored only on your phone.
To delete your data
Uninstall the app. That's it! Uninstalling Book Nova automatically and permanently deletes all your data:
- Your books
- Your badges
- Loans and borrows
- Preferences
- Local backups
Shared data (anonymous statistics)
If you enabled "Contribute to statistics" in settings, only anonymous data is shared:
- Book titles and authors (for the Discover page)
- Aggregated average ratings
- Completely anonymous
- Not linked to your identity
- Used for recommendations
To stop sharing: Disable "Contribute to statistics" in Settings > Data and Privacy.
To delete your shared statistics: Contact us at book-nova@outlook.fr with your support ID (available in Settings → Support).
Before uninstalling
Consider exporting your data if you want to keep it:
- Keep the JSON file for future reimport.
